Program Structure

A minimum of 62 hours of theory instruction delivered through a hybrid format. This includes comprehensive online and in-classroom learning covering IDPH-required content areas such as infection control, communication, safety protocols, and residents' rights.

This institution is approved to operate by the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) under the Private Business and Vocational Schools Act. Approval does not imply endorsement. The institution complies with all applicable state regulations.

Theory Instruction

Students participate in 18 hours of hands-on lab training, one lab day per week for five weeks. They practice and demonstrate required nursing assistant skills under the supervision of a qualified instructor in a simulated clinical environment.

Skills Laboratory

Students complete a minimum of 40 hours of supervised clinical training in an approved healthcare facility. This provides hands-on patient care experience in a real-world setting under instructor supervision, as required by IDPH standards.

Age and Character

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and demonstrate temperate habits, good moral character, honesty, reliability, and trustworthiness.

Identification

Valid government-issued identification and a Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) are required for registration.

Medical and Immunizations

Proof of a completed medical physical including required immunizations is mandatory for all students to participate in clinical training.

Background and Screening

Successful completion of an Illinois Healthcare Worker Background Check, fingerprints, and a drug screening test is required prior to clinical placement.
